How to Use Your Cozy
The Cozy lets you select and adjust your own room temperature setting so you’re always comfortable.
The Cozy is NOT a heater; it sits ON TOP OF YOUR RADIATOR and gets heat from the building’s heating system. If the building heat is off, or your radiator is not hot, the Cozy cannot send heat into your room.
The Cozy needs to be plugged in to send heat into your room. Please keep your Cozy plugged in at all times during the heating season (please note, each Cozy only uses about $2-5 of electricity per year).
How to Change Your Temperature Setting
To change your temperature setting, please use the buttons on the front of the Cozy:
- Raise temperature with the top button.
- Lower temperature with the bottom button.
| LED Light Bar (Bars That Are Lit Up) | Temperature Setting (Fahrenheit) | Fan Speed |
|---|---|---|
| 3 Green + 4 Yellow + 3 red bars | 85° | HIGH |
| 3 Green + 4 Yellow + 2 red bars | 77° | LOW |
| 3 Green + 4 Yellow + 1 red bar | 76° | LOW |
| 3 Green + 4 Yellow bars | 75° | LOW |
| 3 Green + 3 Yellow bars | 74° | LOW |
| 3 Green + 2 Yellow bars | 73° | LOW |
| 3 Green + 1 Yellow bar | 72° | LOW |
| 3 Green Bars | 71° | LOW |
| 2 Green Bars | 70° | LOW |
| 1 Green Bar | 69° | LOW |
| No Bars (below 1 green bar) | 68° | LOW |
If You Are Cold, Please Follow These Steps:
- Raise the LED Light Bar to top red. The Cozy will go into high speed mode to heat up your room faster.
- Make sure the Temperature Sensor is not blocked by furniture, curtains, or other items. If something blocks the sensor, the Cozy might think the room is warm and not send enough heat into the room.
- Please keep at least one foot of space around the bottom of your Cozy clear and clutter-free so hot air can flow from inside the Cozy into your apartment.
!
- With the Cozy, you may find you have drafts you never noticed when your room was overheated, and you will no longer need to open windows or use A/C when the heat is on.
- Please make sure your windows, including the TOP windows (if you have them), are completely closed.
- Seal any cold drafts, such as gaps around your window air conditioner units. Please note, you may also need to insulate around your window A/C units to keep your room warm.
- Still cold? Please fill out our support form at https://help.radiatorlabs.com or call us at 1-844-335-4328.
- If you are cold evenings (5pm-9am) or weekends (Saturdays/Sundays), please contact your building’s maintenance team for emergency help with heating, and contact Radiator Labs to schedule a follow-up visit.
